Hi… I’m Moby
…and I run MOBY BEAUTY PLACE; a Kent-based beauty brand. I have been in the beauty business for over 7 years providing services in film/movie, special effects (SfX), beauty, hair styling and general makeover. My background in Psychology, helps me apply psychological skills in promoting positive mental, emotional, and physical support to my clients and people generally, as I have realised that a lot of positivity and confidence building can be achieved mentally and emotionally with makeup.
I am very passionate about delivering quality makeup to my clients whilst paying attention to their preferences and helping them gain confidence in their own skins. I focus on creating great makeup techniques that suit women of ALL colour.
I tap into my positive work ethics and my willingness to learn and develop my beauty skills every time I pick up my brush. My motto is every person is different and I am here to help you see the beautiful YOU. Every person that sits on my chair is unique, beautifully and wonderfully made.
We have partnered with UYG London, a social enterprise that provides support to women who face domestic abuse, hurt and/or trauma. We provided self-care/ beauty packages to encourage women to be the best version of themselves. We also supported Arise Women in training 10 women from low-income families and trained them in the business of beauty and empowered them to becoming financially independent. In over 5 years, we have trained over 100 people and have held their hands through the journey through our mentorship programme.
As part of our sustainable development to our society, we are starting our '“YOU MATTER” initiative in the second quarter of 2024 to provide business and financial support to women in the beauty business in Maidstone and also bring makeup education to young women and students from low income families.
